I believe I have a similar view point to Johan. IMO Collaboa 'base'  
should
be kept clean and small.

If you want to do anything else there' two options...
1, You make a fork like Tim has done.
2, We refractor Collaboa in a way that 'plugins' can be used. Allowing
users to customize there Collaboa install without polluting the  
'core' code base
for everyone else who does not want/need all the knobs and whistles.
